River to River Visual Arts Association Spring Show at VCA

The Varsity Center for the Arts in Carbondale, Ill was the site of the first River to River Visual Art Association show held on the opening night of "Making God Laugh."  The show will continue until April 21.

Leann Gehm, owner of Miranda's Loom, displayed her hand-loomed wall hangings and hand made lightcatchers at the show.

Nancy Young, president of RRVAA, sets ups her paintings and hand-crafted jewelry.
Ruth Dougherty talks with a customer who's admiring Ruth's hand made beauty items and the wood wine racks made by her partner, John Lipe.

A couple of theater-goers pause to look at the hand-painted items of Sharon Wittke, owner of Ravensbend Halloween Folk Art in Cobden.
Susan Stokes, owner of Suzzie's Rugs, adjusts one of her hand-made rugs on display at the show.
