Art Show Opens at Longbranch Coffeehouse
September 29 - November 2, 2012
Carbondale, IL - The Treehouse Artist Collective is pleased to announce the showing of their "Recent Work" at the Lonbranch Coffeehouse, 100 E. Jackson St. in Carbondale's Historic Town Square District. The Art Show opened on Saturday, September 29 and runs through Friday, November 2, 2012. A Closing Reception will be held on Friday, November 2, 7 - 9pm at the Longbranch Coffeehouse. The show consists of paintings by Jim King, Wahid Lewis, Andrea LeBeau, and photographs by Julian Milo, Danielle Konings, Greg Wendt, Terry Hickey, and photography students ages 8 - 12 years. Both the front and back room of the Longbranch are lined with this beautiful artwork that is for sale.
The Treehouse Artist Collective was founded in 2008 by three artists looking for studio space to foster their creative endeavors. With forteen foot ceilings, huge windows, and a view to die for, the Treehouse became the ideal place for creative play. Today, The Treehouse is an artistic home to several photographers, videographers, painters, writers, sculptors, and aspiring young artists. We share resources, collaborate, and offer art & photography classes. The Treehouse is located above the Town Square Market in Carbondale, IL.
Art and photography classes will be held this Fall for children and adults. More information to come.
