We are happy to report that one of our artists, Craig Rhodes, will be featured this week on WSIU's Expressions television series. Expressions showcases the creative abilities, techniques, and inspirations of Southern Illinois artists. The show's producer, Rajvee Subramanian, approached us recently to learn more about local artists in the Metropolis area.
Following several discussions, Craig Rhodes was invited to Carbondale where a studio interview was held at WSIU, the southern Illinois PBS affiliate. The crew from Expressions then visited Craig's studio in Massac County where they captured more video. Craig and his work will be featured on an episode this week that is scheduled to air 5 times:
Thursday, January 9 at 9 p.m. - WSIU HD Channel
Saturday, January 11 at 5 and 10:30 p.m. - WSIU World Channel
Sunday, January 12 at 2 p.m. and at 5:30 p.m. - WSIU HD channel
Craig's pottery, as well as works by other potters and artists, can been seen at our Artisan Boutique.
We started this business 3 years ago as a way to provide a place for local artisans to display and sell their works. Originals now features works by over 25 local and regional artists as well as fair trade items made by artisans from around the world.
